Change Manager (Contract starting ASAP | 6-Month Contract likely to extend to Feb 2027)

  • Central location + regular site travel (stations/depots)
  • Hybrid: minimum 3 days onsite
  • 6-month contract (potential extension)

We’re seeking a hands-on, delivery-focused Change Manager to join a newly established Planning & Improvement function, driving structured change across a large, complex operational environment.

This role is suited to someone who can translate strategy into practical delivery, working closely with frontline teams to embed change across people and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver clear, structured change plans
  • Support delivery of operational and technology initiatives
  • Take a hands-on role to ensure change is embedded on the ground
  • Engage stakeholders across frontline teams and leadership
  • Manage resistance and adoption in a high-risk, operational environment
  • Apply established frameworks (including Prosci)
  • Deliver clear, concise communications and presentations

About You

  • Proven experience in delivery-focused change roles (not purely advisory/consulting)
  • Background in complex operational or industrial environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across all levels
  • Excellent communication skills – clear, direct and structured
  • Confident presenting with focused, high-quality messaging
  • Resilient, proactive, and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to connect strategy to execution
