The Role
As a Calypso Tester, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of trading and post-trade systems supporting front office, risk, and back-office operations.
You’ll work across both manual and automation testing, contributing to strategic enhancements, enterprise regression frameworks, and continuous delivery initiatives. The role sits within a cross-functional agile team and offers significant exposure to both business and technology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing across Calypso platforms
- Validate end-to-end trade lifecycle workflows across trading, risk, and settlement systems
- Enhance and maintain automated testing frameworks and regression suites
- Support UI and API automation initiatives using Java-based tools
- Perform SQL-based backend validation and data reconciliation
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, BAs, and business stakeholders
- Investigate defects and support resolution activities across complex environments
- Contribute to CI/CD and enterprise delivery pipeline improvements
- Support release validation and UAT activities
- Drive continuous improvement across QA and automation practices
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience testing Calypso platforms
- Background in capital markets, trading, or financial services environments
- Hands-on Java experience and automation testing capability
- Experience with API and UI automation frameworks
- Strong SQL/database validation skills
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle processes across Front Office, Risk, and Back Office
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise QA practices
Nice to Have
- Experience with Playwright or modern automation tooling
- Exposure to Kafka, MQ, or messaging platforms
- Understanding of financial regulations and enterprise governance frameworks
- Agile/Scrum or ITIL exposure
