Talent International is seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst to join a Local Government client based in Regional Queensland (Roma) on an initial 3-month contract, with strong extension potential and the opportunity to transition into a permanent role.

The role:
This role will support the client in designing and embedding a contemporary, scalable Business Process Improvement (BPI) Framework. The Business Process Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to analyse current processes, design improved future-state processes, uplift internal capability, and apply the framework to a series of pilot processes. The role plays a key part in improving operational efficiency, service delivery, and consistency across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a fit-for-purpose Business Process Improvement Framework
  • Define process governance, roles, responsibilities, and decision-making pathways
  • Develop process mapping standards, tools, templates, and improvement artefacts
  • Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders to document current-state and future-state processes
  • Identify and, where possible, quantify process improvement opportunities and benefits
  • Support capability uplift through workshops, playbooks, and reusable guidance materials
  • Apply the framework to pilot processes and document outcomes, insights, and recommendations
  • Contribute to a roadmap for broader process improvement rollout

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Process Analyst or similar role delivering process improvement initiatives
  • Strong experience in business process analysis, mapping, and optimisation
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, BPM, continuous improvement)
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and working with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Experience in local government or public sector environments highly regarded
