The opportunity:
Our highly valued client is a federal government agency. They are seeking an EL1 Payments Business Architect to lead the enhancement of business processes and solutions that support in the delivery of target state of the payment’s platform.

  • Richmond or Geelong location plus hybrid work-from-home
  • 12 month initial contract + 12 month extension, rates fully negotiable
  • Role only open to Australian Citizens with minimum Baseline security clearance

The role:
Your duties will include:

  • Liaise with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide technology consultancy
  • Map end-to-end processes whilst consulting with the Business and Tech side to support the program of work inc. gathering business requirements, assessment and options analysis
  • Model the current and future state whilst engaging with business area to identify risks and opportunities
  • Think, visualise and demonstrate systems approach, dependencies and processes that is platform agnostic
  • Represent Business architecture in Quarterly business planning sessions
  • Liaise with Solution Architects and Enterprise Architects to ensure expected business outcomes are achieved
  • Enhance the business architecture based on the Agency goals and objectives
  • Apply architectural principles to business solutions
  • Work with Solution Designers and Functional Consultants to develop End to End solution designs in line with business requirements
  • Define the data and process requirements to meet the business requirements
  • Work with wider enterprise architecture teams to agree on recommended solution for business problem statements

Skills and experience:
To succeed in this role you will need:

  • At least 4 to 5 years of experience working in a similar Business Architect role
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise payments processes and platforms
  • Excellent listening, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience modelling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
  • Experience working on cloud-based projects, including working with digital transformation teams, UX/CX designers, and assistant technology enabled (Accessibility Compliant) applications
  • Familiar with deployment in public and private government approved cloud and associated security considerations
  • Experience working on large scale tech transformation projects, in both Agile and Structured delivery environments
  • Experience working in both Agile and Structured delivery environments and exposure to Salesforce Service Cloud and Insurance Industries
  • TOGAF certified or equivalent IT architectural qualification, and relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded
