A leading mining company headquartered in Perth is embarking on an exciting journey to significantly enhance their wireless connectivity capabilities across operations. They are seeking a talented Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in this technological evolution, working on a six-month contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Development: Define and articulate the strategy and key drivers for continued investment in Wi-Fi and LTE technologies, aligning with the company’s long-term operational goals.
  2. Use Case Analysis: Conduct a comprehensive review and forecast of wireless connectivity use cases across existing operations in the Pilbara region, identifying key areas for technological enhancements.
  3. Network Planning: Develop a detailed mine planning model that maps out the density and locality of in-pit mining applications, specifying their unique requirements for capacity, performance, availability, and priority.
  4. Strategic Roadmap Documentation: Create a strategic investment roadmap for the Hybrid Network Deployment, ensuring alignment with mine plans and fleet transitions to maximize value from technology deployments.
  5. Cost Management: Refine and streamline the forecasted capital and operational expenses necessary to successfully execute the Hybrid Network strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with a background in telecommunications or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, capable of handling complex data and multi-faceted projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities, with the skill to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution within an IT, telecommunications, or related infrastructure environment.
  • Knowledge of wireless network technologies (Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G) and their application in large-scale operations is highly desirable.
