Business Analyst | Senior Business Analyst | Lead Business Analyst (Multiple Roles)
Sydney | Up to $450 – $700 per day | 5-12 month contracts + likely extensions

We are partnering with a leading consultancy delivering into major government and enterprise programs, seeking multiple Business Analysts across mid, senior, and lead levels.

These opportunities will see you working on complex, high-impact initiatives, collaborating with architects, developers, and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, well-designed solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • lead and facilitate workshops to elicit, analyse, and document business and technical requirements
  • translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • collaborate closely with architects and developers to ensure requirements are feasible, scalable, and well understood
  • produce and maintain artefacts such as functional specifications, process flows, data models, and interface definitions
  • support solution design by validating technical approaches against business objectives and constraints
  • contribute to backlog refinement, prioritisation, and dependency management in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
  • support testing and UAT through test case review, validation, and maintaining traceability
  • identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across requirements and solution design
  • facilitate walkthroughs, ensuring stakeholder alignment and sign-off

What we’re looking for

  • proven experience as a Business Analyst within complex delivery environments, across projects or programs
  • strong understanding of application development, system integrations, APIs, and data flows
  • experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models
  • ability to produce high-quality requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • experience working closely with technical teams including developers, testers, and architects
  • strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to influence across all levels
  • familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
  • strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability

Nice to have depending on level

  • experience leading BA activities across programs or mentoring junior analysts
  • exposure to modelling techniques, data analysis, or enterprise architecture environments
  • ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on delivery levels

  • active australian security clearance required; must have full australian work rights
  • contract rate up to$450 – $700 per day
