The Role: The Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing current-state issues, defining remediation requirements, supporting solution delivery, and ensuring recovery initiatives are aligned to business, customer, and regulatory outcomes.

The Responsibilities:

  • Analyse current-state business processes, system defects, and customer impact issues across billing, collections, and customer service functions.
  • Elicit, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements for remediation initiatives, system fixes, and process improvements.
  • Work closely with technology teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Support delivery of the Return to Service Plan by tracking requirements, dependencies, and remediation outcomes through to implementation.
  • Contribute to governance, reporting, testing support, and benefits realisation activities to ensure recovery initiatives achieve intended outcomes.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting complex remediation, recovery, or transformation programs in government, utilities, or regulated environments.
  • Strong experience analysing and documenting business processes, system issues, and customer-impacting defects (billing, ERP, CRM, or customer platforms preferred)
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders, including IT, operations, vendors, and senior business leaders.
  • Experience producing high-quality BA artefacts, including process maps, requirements documentation, impact assessments, and traceability matrices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
