Boomi Integration Architect

  • Hybrid working model – Canberra preferred, with interstate candidates considered (travel required as needed)
  • Extensive Boomi architecture experience, strong AWS cloud expertise, and enterprise integration governance capability required

This is a rare opportunity for a highly experienced Boomi Integration Architect to lead and uplift a large-scale enterprise integration platform within a critical digital transformation program. You will play a central role in shaping the architecture, governance, and operational maturity of a cloud-hosted integration ecosystem, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing integration services that support essential business operations.

Your duties will include:

  • Designing and overseeing the Boomi platform architecture, including AWS-hosted runtime environments
  • Defining enterprise integration patterns, data models, and reusable architectural standards
  • Establishing governance frameworks covering versioning, naming conventions, branching, deployment, and documentation
  • Ensuring platform security, compliance, auditability, logging, and data-residency alignment with cybersecurity standards
  • Providing architectural oversight and guidance to technical teams and vendors to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery
  • Leading operational readiness activities including monitoring, alerting, performance optimisation, upgrades, and BAU transition

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience architecting enterprise solutions using the Boomi integration platform
  • Strong hands-on experience deploying and operating Boomi within AWS cloud environments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Boomi runtime models including Atom, Molecule, and Atom Cloud
  • Deep understanding of integration patterns (API-led, event-driven, batch, database, and file-based integrations) and data transformation (REST/SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT)
  • Experience establishing integration governance, standards, and enterprise architectural best practices
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present designs to governance forums and produce high-quality technical documentation

Desirable certifications include Boomi (Architect/Professional/Administrator), AWS, TOGAF, or ITIL, alongside a degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
