Azure Developer (API/Power Platform/SharePoint)
Talent are currently seeking a Azure Developer (API/Power Platform/SharePoint) for a contract with a state government department based in Brisbane CBD. You will work across the Microsoft ecosystem to ingest and transform data from external APIs into SharePoint Online, while building scalable, secure solutions using Azure services, Power Platform, and API technologies.
Contract details:
- Until 02.10.2026 + potential extensions
- Brisbane CBD location / 2 days WFH per week
- Up to $1133.76/day inc super
Responsibilities:
- Providing thought leadership in the design of co-existence of multiple information systems and API development across multiple agencies, supporting the strategic intent of the department.
- Working closely with the business and technical streams in providing advice and delivery of services including though not limited to; Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure architecture, Network, Information Systems, Data warehousing, information architecture, and information security.
- Coordinating, designing and building information sharing and information integration solutions which meet information sharing, security and legislative requirements
- Working with other enterprise and solution architects, support teams, system integrators, and other technical staff to support/assist in management of, and integration with, solutions/platforms being implemented by the department.
- Developing integration specifications. Coordinating with various teams to develop the integration mappings.
Key requirements:
- Strong Experience in enterprise grade development, including enterprise grade complex information systems, with multiple data sources.
- Expertise in Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft.
- Expertise in designing and implementing complex API Platforms in large enterprise environments, (e.g. Microsoft Azure APIM, Microsoft Power Platform and Micro services)
- Experience in developing system integration strategies, architectures and plans to support the delivery of system integration solutions
- Experience in the implementation and design of contemporary, effective and supportable system integration solutions that maximise re-use and interoperability
- Proven technical skills and the ability to provide expert technical direction, standardisation, and support of integration artefacts
- Strong understanding and hands on experience of Azure iPaaS (Azure API Management, Web APIs, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Storage and Queues)
- Strong understanding and hands on experience of Power Automate, SharePoint online and Azure networking and security.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps based build and release pipelines.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts. Experience debugging TCP/IP and HTTPS traffic.
- Ability to translate functional and non-functional requirements into a technical solution design suitable for implementation
- High level of verbal communication and documentation skills
Deliverables:
- Development of an ETL solution to pull data from an external REST API, and load it into a SharePoint Online site. Work with the Business Analyst and technical support team to develop solution design documents, technical build guides, change requests, development and deployment artefacts and other project documentation, as required.
