We are partnering with a highly respected global technology services organisation to secure several Azure Cloud Operations Engineers for a large-scale enterprise cloud environment based in Auckland.

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing cloud platform team supporting complex Azure environments, cloud transformation initiatives, and ongoing migration activities within a large enterprise setting.

We’re looking for engineers who enjoy getting hands-on, solving problems, automating repetitive tasks, and supporting production cloud platforms. This is not an architecture-only role, we’re seeking practical engineers who can quickly become productive and contribute from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting and maintaining enterprise Azure environments
  • Assisting with cloud migration and modernisation initiatives
  • Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • Troubleshooting production issues and supporting operational activities
  • Contributing to platform reliability, performance and security
  • Working closely with internal engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Supporting automation, continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
  • Participating in an on-call support roster

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Strong hands-on Azure infrastructure experience across:
    • Networking
    • Security
    • Compute
    • Storage
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
  • Azure DevOps experience including CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Experience supporting production cloud environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management capability
  • Experience working within enterprise-scale environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Highly Desirable

  • Azure migration or cloud transformation experience
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • PowerShell, Azure CLI or Python scripting
  • Azure governance and landing zone experience
  • Monitoring and observability tooling
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
  • Managed services or large enterprise support environments
