Automation Test Consultant
We’re partnering with a large enterprise organisation undergoing a major digital transformation and are looking for an experienced Automation Test Consultant with strong Playwright expertise to join a high-performing Agile delivery team.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll design, build and maintain modern automated testing solutions across web and API platforms, helping improve release confidence and uplift overall quality engineering maturity.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and developing robust automated test suites using Playwright
- Building scalable, reusable automation frameworks aligned to best practice
- Creating end-to-end, regression, integration and API tests
- Integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions)
- Working closely with developers, BAs and Product Owners to embed shift-left quality
- Supporting defect analysis, root cause investigation and continuous improvement
- Contributing to test strategy, estimation and Agile ceremonies
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience as an Automation Test Analyst / QA Engineer
- Strong hands-on Playwright experience
- Solid JavaScript / TypeScript skills
- API testing experience (Postman or similar)
- CI/CD integration experience
- Agile / Scrum delivery background
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Nice to have
- Experience with k6 or performance testing tools
- Exposure to BDD / TDD
- Azure DevOps or GitHub experience
- Enterprise-scale testing environments
