Overview:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Automation Test Analyst to join a high-performing team supporting a suite of trading and energy systems within a large-scale, regulated enterprise environment.

The role will focus on designing, developing, and executing automation test scripts and strategies across both internal and third-party applications, including web, desktop, and API services. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining quality standards, supporting DevOps practices, and ensuring the successful delivery of software solutions across integration, system, and end-to-end testing phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation scripts across a range of software products and projects.

  • Execute automated and manual testing, including integration, end-to-end, and regression testing.

  • Perform defect logging, tracking, and management throughout the testing lifecycle.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests using tools such as Azure DevOps.

  • Deliver test summary reports, contribute to test closure documentation, and provide transparency on testing status and quality metrics.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and SMEs within an agile environment.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards and processes.

  • Mentor team members on testing practices and automation principles.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing and at least 3 years in automation testing roles.

  • Proven experience in test script development, maintenance, and execution using tools such as Playwright, Postman, or similar.

  • Solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle and experience in test planning, data setup, and reporting.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps.

  • Experience testing a mix of application types including web, desktop (WPF), and API services.

  • Strong knowledge of integration and end-to-end testing methodologies.

  • Experience working in Agile environments and applying DevOps principles to testing.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Desirable Experience:

  • Testing in energy, utilities, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.

  • Experience with Git-based repositories, defect tracking, and agile toolsets.

  • Experience with test data management and automating validation of business-critical transactions.
