Working with one of Australias leading IT Consultancies on an Atlassian Cloud Migration project.

Working on the migration of Jira Software, Confluence, and Jira Service Management from on-premise or Data Center to Atlassian Cloud. This role is hands-on and will suit someone with a deep technical understanding of the Atlassian ecosystem, migration tools, and automation, who thrives in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute migrations using Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) and Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA)

  • Perform pre-migration assessments, test migrations, and production cutovers

  • Investigate and resolve blockers such as app conflicts, field mismatches, and user issues

  • Manage site imports, CSV imports, and cloud-to-cloud transfers

  • Review and interpret migration logs; implement fixes for common errors

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to confirm scope and success criteria

  • Execute post-migration validations and reconciliations against source data

  • Provide clear and concise technical documentation, runbooks, and config summaries

  • Engage in client workshops and lead working sessions as needed

  • Assess app compatibility and recommend workaround options or replacements

  • Support Atlassian Access/Guard configurations, SSO, authentication policies, and SCIM-based provisioning

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong admin experience with Jira Software, Confluence, and Jira Service Management (Cloud and Data Center)

  • Hands-on expertise with Atlassian migration tools

  • Experience with automation rules, REST APIs, Scriptrunner (basic scripts), or Postman

  • Solid understanding of JSON/YAML used in Atlassian configs

  • Excellent stakeholder communication and technical documentation skills

  • Comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets for mapping, reconciliation, and data transformation

  • Ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks and blockers
