Our client is a federal government organisation. They have a great opportunity for an Associate Systems Engineer to support the analysis and design of systems and technical products within the organisation.

  • Associate / Mid -level role, daily rates negotiable
  • 12 month contract + up to 2 years of extensions
  • Melbourne CBD location + hybrid work from home

Key duties and responsibilities

  • perform analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements
  • support the creation and implementation of solutions to meet business needs
  • support the creation and maintenance of solution documents
  • provide support to daily operations and monitor performance of business solutions
  • adhere to delivery and support methodologies and contribute ideas for improvement
  • perform technical application assessments considering risks and benefits
  • conduct testing activities such as test coverage reviews, formal or informal test execution and test planning
  • collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues, solve problems and ensure effective and timely implementation of projects
  • undertake project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications and design documents
  • prepare correspondence such as reports and technical documentation for review by senior staff
  • escalate issues as required and suggest alternative approaches and solutions
  • assist with cost analysis activities as required
  • support the life cycle of changes and improvements to systems
  • provide training, guidance and support for new staff where required

About you:
To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Relevant similar experience as a Systems Analyst/technical Business Analyst
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences
  • Solid core skills across requirements analysis, data and process modelling, system design, etc.
  • Ability to work within an agile framework

Please note that to be selected for this role you must be an Australian Citizen and must hold or be eligible to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
