Associate Scrum Master
- Initial 12 Month Contract | Potential To Extend
- Eastern Suburbs Location | 3 Days On-Site – 2 Days Working From Home
- Data Transformation Program | $750 Per Day (Inc Super)
The Role: The Associate Scrum Master will be responsible for helping self-organising, self-managing delivery teams achieve their goals using an Agile Mindset along with a delivery framework like Scrum or Methodology like Kanban.
The Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and schedule all Squad ceremonies, ensuring structure, clarity, and alignment to Agile practices.
- Support the Squad in breaking down work items and ensuring accurate representation in Jira at the correct levels.
- Maintain a healthy, prioritised backlog in partnership with the Product Owner, ensuring at least two sprints of ready work.
- Track and report delivery progress, including maintaining Jira dashboards, Sprint/Release burndown charts, and ensuring progress toward Sprint goals.
- Ensure compliance with Ways of Working (WoWs), including coordinating workshops and following up on Squad actions to drive continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Demonstrated 2 – 3 years’ experience as a Scrum Master working across large transformation programs.
- Proficiency with Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, with the ability to coach teams and reinforce Agile principles.
- Experience using Agile work management tools, particularly Jira and Confluence, to manage backlogs, sprints, dashboards, and reporting.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, enabling effective delivery of ceremonies, workshops, and stakeholder engagement across a matrixed organisation.
- Problem-solving and impediment-removal capability, with the ability to identify issues early and guide the team toward solutions.
