Talent International is currently recruiting for an Asset Engineer to work for the Local Government, based in Blacktown. This position is a contract role for a 6-month contract with a view to be extended, and the role pays $77.33 per hour + Super.

7 hours a day / 35 hours a week

About the Role

As an Asset Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting various City Asset teams to achieve strategic objectives outlined in the client’s Management Plan. You will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of asset-related data and processes, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate updates to the client’s asset register for new assets from developments and capital works
  • Maintain and update the client’s spatial information systems (GIS)
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of asset dedications, capitalisations, and revaluations
  • Support end-of-financial-year reporting in collaboration with the Asset Accountant
  • Respond to external audit requests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide asset-related information to internal stakeholders and the public
  • Liaise effectively across Council departments and external organisations
  • Support delivery of key objectives across the City Assets Directorate
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and client’s policies

About You

Essential:

  • Qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Desirable:

  • Experience within Local Government (Civil Engineering)
  • Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
