Ariba Support Analyst (November Start)

Our client, a leading organisation in the aviation sector, is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Ariba Consultant to join their team on a 12-month contract starting 1st November.

In this key role, you will lead the end-to-end implementation, integration, and ongoing support of SAP Ariba solutions. You will manage core Ariba modules including Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing (P2P), and Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP), while ensuring seamless integration with SAP ECC and operational continuity across Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes. Collaboration with procurement, finance, HR, and external vendors is essential to translate business needs into effective system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Ariba Module Support & Integration

  • Manage and support SAP Ariba modules: Sourcing, Contracts, P2P, and SLP.

  • Oversee SAP ECC <> Ariba integration using Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) and/or CI9 legacy systems.

  • Ensure smooth P2P operations including PR, PO, GR, and invoice flows through the Ariba Network.

  • Configure SOA Manager settings, middleware, endpoints, and IDoc/XML integrations.

  • Coordinate with ECC teams to maintain synchronized master data (vendors, materials, cost centres).

Supplier Onboarding & Testing

  • Support supplier onboarding and enablement via the Ariba Network.

  • Lead functional, integration, and UAT testing cycles.

  • Design and maintain catalogues, guided buying configurations, approval workflows, and sourcing templates.

User Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide user support, root cause analysis, and system training for Ariba-related issues.

  • Document all configurations, test cases, integrations, and training materials.

  • Recommend and implement system enhancements and best practices.

  • Participate in Ariba upgrades and migrations, including CI9 to CIG.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance

  • Engage regularly with Finance, Procurement, IT teams, external vendors, and SAP support.

  • Work within an agile delivery model for iterative configuration, testing, and deployment.

  • Support audit, data privacy, security, and system governance requirements.

  • Produce and validate reports and dashboards as needed.


Essential Criteria:

  1. Proven hands-on experience configuring and implementing SAP Ariba modules covering S2P, P2P, Sourcing, Contracts, and SLP.

  2. Strong technical expertise in SAP ECC <> Ariba integration, including CIG, CI9, SOA Manager, and IDoc/XML.

  3. Demonstrated experience onboarding and supporting suppliers via the Ariba Network, including catalogue and transaction setup.

  4. Skilled in planning and executing functional, integration, and UAT testing with comprehensive documentation.

  5. Excellent collaboration skills working across procurement, finance, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure business alignment.

  6. Experience in troubleshooting Ariba issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
