APS6 Technical Advisor – Federal Disability Department
12-Month Contract | Perth CBD | Hybrid Work Environment
A major Federal disability department is seeking experienced APS6 Technical Advisor‘s to join their team on a 12-month contract. In this role, you will provide expert technical advice, support, and guidance on complex participant matters. You’ll play a key part in shaping support strategies, managing stakeholder engagement, and contributing to broader planning and policy efforts.
This is a leadership-level team role, with responsibilities including setting priorities, managing team workflows, and making informed decisions aligned with relevant legislation and policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and technical advice using a mentoring approach
- Handle sensitive funding-related conversations and decisions
- Work closely with stakeholders, partners, and service providers to ensure consistent and effective outcomes
- Deliver high-quality written and verbal communication and maintain accurate records
Required Qualifications (in one or more of the following):
- Occupational Therapy
- Prosthetics and Orthotics
- Speech Pathology
- Physiotherapy
- Psychology
- Nursing (AHPRA eligible)
- Social Work
- Mental Health Practice
- Behavioural Support
- Medico-Legal Allied Health
Desirable:
- Experience in disability, hospital, or aged care settings
- Leadership and team management experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated clinical experience
Australian citizenship is required to be considered.
