About the Role

As an APS6 Program/Project Officer, you will play a key role in supporting program management and strategic planning activities. You will work on end-to-end project delivery, monitor progress, and manage risks to ensure successful outcomes. This role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to policy development, and driving innovation in digital health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support program management and strategic planning activities.
  • Monitor, track, and report on project deliverables to meet time, cost, and quality metrics.
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and update project schedules in collaboration with leadership.
  • Oversee program/project change processes and escalate deviations as needed.
  • Manage section finances in line with agency frameworks.
  • Provide specialised advice and contribute to issues management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in program and project management.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and strategic planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with the Australian digital health ecosystem (desirable).

Qualifications

  • Program and Project Management qualifications (desirable).
