Our client is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. About the role:

Your main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to.

  • Assisting with facilitating risk discussions and reviews with risk owners, applying the Risk Management Framework in supporting the effective identification and management of operational and project risks.
  • Analysing trends in mitigating risks, minimising potential exposure and harness opportunities, including risk treatment plans and processes.
  • Assisting with delivery of risk management training and education programs, building risk management knowledge, skills and tools across all work areas.
  • Maintaining relationships with other risk and assurance teams, ensuring appropriate management of shared risks and issues.
  • Providing input into the preparation of risk reporting to Service Delivery stakeholders.

Skills and experience required:

  • Prior experience in risk management, ideally within government or regulated environments.
  • Strong facilitation skills for conducting risk workshops and engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, and risk register management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
  • Passionate about working within the disability sector and positively improving the lives of individuals and their families.
  • As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, only Australian Citizens need to apply
  • Willingness to undertake pre-employment checks, including National Criminal History Check upon successful appointment
