APS6 Team Leader – Performance Reporting & Projections

  • Richmond, VIC | 2 days WFH
  • $60.26 per hour + Super
  • Contract to 31 December 2026 (likely extension)

We’re seeking an experienced APS6 Team Leader to join a Performance Reporting & Projections team within a Federal Government Agency. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team delivering critical insights that inform strategic and operational decision-making at a senior level.

The Role
You will lead a team of technical analysts to deliver high-quality reporting, forecasting and projections, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and fit-for-purpose. The role requires strong leadership, technical capability and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of technical analysts, driving performance and capability
  • Take ownership of the delivery of regular reporting and analytical products
  • Oversee the design, build, validation and quality assurance of projection and scenario-based reporting
  • Ensure strong data governance through validation, assurance and interpretation
  • Communicate complex insights clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • Manage competing priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment

Key Selection Criteria

  • Due to this role sitting with a Federal Government Agecncy, only Australian Citizens may be submitted
  • Prior experience in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams of technical analysts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated data capability, including validation, assurance and interpretation
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience writing and troubleshooting in SAS and/or SQL
  • Experience owning and delivering regular reporting products
  • Demonstrated experience in the design, build, validation and QA of projection and scenario-based reporting
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
