About the Role
In this critical position, you will coordinate all facets of the Project Development Support Grants (PDS), from application management to compliance with the Commonwealth Grants Framework. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and support project and analytical work, all while driving best practices in grant administration and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the PDS grants program, including tasks allocation and tracking in SmartyGrants.
- Develop guidance material and templates for grant administration processes.
- Provide policy advice and support for departmental staff regarding legislative frameworks.
- Ensure timely and accurate grant information on the Department’s website.
- Problem-solve complex grant topics with a strong client focus.
- Build capability and educate stakeholders on best practices in grant administration.
- Draft high-quality grants and budget advice for SES and Ministers.
- Monitor grant progress and ensure compliance with agreements.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in managing Australian Federal Government grant processes.
- Proficiency in using grant management platforms, preferably SmartyGrants.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or professional accreditation in a related field.
- Knowledge of the Commonwealth Grants Framework and grant management principles is highly desirable.
