Grants and Procurement Officer (APS6 Equivalent) | Canberra, ACT | 12-Month Contract

About the Role

As a Grants and Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the full lifecycle of grants and procurement processes, ensuring alignment with Commonwealth Grants Rules (CGRPs) and Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs). You’ll develop key documentation, engage stakeholders, and support Australia’s post-ODA transition efforts in Nauru.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Grants Opportunity Guidelines (GOGs), risk assessments, and compliance documents.
  • Administer grants lifecycle (assessment, establishment, monitoring, reporting).
  • Prepare procurement plans, RFQs, RFTs, evaluation reports, and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with the department’s policies, CGRPs, and CPRs.
  • Provide technical advice on grants/procurement to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Maintain records and support audits/reporting.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience developing GOGs in a government/development context.
  • Strong knowledge of CGRPs & CPRs.
  • Proven ability in procurement planning & contract management.
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook).

Qualifications

  • Current NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory
