Our client is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. About the role:
Reporting to the EL1 Case Management Team Leader, you will be responsible for the below activities:
- Undertaking end to end case management activities.
- Resolving matters through case management of applications in relation to reviewable decisions.
- Obtaining necessary information and advice to effectively resolve application matters.
- Applying alternate dispute resolution methods and advocacy skills to resolving applications/reviews, in keeping with the model litigant principles.
- Attending Case Conferences, Conciliations, and Hearings.
- Preparing documents detailing resolution options and outcomes at Case Management meetings.
- Preparing and maintaining electronic record keeping, including evidence supporting decision-making processes and justifying conclusions reached during the case management process.

Skills and experience required:
We strongly encourage your application if you have demonstrated the below skills and capabilities:
- Ability to think critically and make informed decision in an efficient manner.
- Previous end-to-end case management experience, preferably handling clients of a vulnerable nature.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage client expectations and resolve concerns effectively and promptly
- Passionate about working within the disability sector and positively improving the lives of individuals and their families.
- As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, only Australian Citizens need to apply
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment checks, including National Criminal History Check upon successful appointment
