Our client is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. About the role:
- Managing a range of moderately complex to complex quality reviews.
- Conducting quality assurance and quality control activities in relation to planning processes and/or decision making.
- Applying guidance consistently to make assessments about quality, legislative and process compliance using information recorded in business systems
- Providing reasons for file review assessments, referring to evidence and using objective, clear and concise written communication
- Providing professional and technical commentary to review findings to improve decision making, planning practice and performance
- Recording data and commentary using the tools and format specified for the file review, adhering to privacy requirements and relevant data policies
- Where risks to participants or the scheme are identified, taking appropriate action following established processes
- Assisting to develop and implement improvement strategies to deliver branch and Agency goals and strategic objectives
- Identifying best practice approaches through qualitative and quantitative review
- Supporting and mentoring team members to enhance quality and correctness of technical skills and knowledge.

Skills and experience required:
We strongly encourage your application if you have demonstrated the below skills and capabilities:
- Understanding of qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Capacity to conduct quality assurance audits, on a routine basis
- Capacity to develop and maintain general knowledge of the role and functions of the NDIS and an understanding of how these relate to the work area
- Ability to translate technical jargon into clear, accessible communication
- Strong written communication skills, including accurate data recording
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated experience applying work knowledge, precedent and established legislation, policy, procedures and guidelines to situations involving complexity and sensitivity which require considerable interpretation and analysis
- Ability to maintain well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Able to assess complex issues and draw logical, well‑reasoned conclusions
- Consistently apply reflective and analytical thinking to decision‑making
- Adaptable to shifting priorities and capable of supporting multiple functions while maintaining effectiveness through significant changes in responsibilities or work environment.
- Uses feedback constructively and takes responsibility for outcomes, adjusting efforts to improve skills and performance
- Passionate about working within the disability sector and positively improving the lives of individuals and their families.
