
API Integration Support Specialist
Job Description
Our client is a federal government organisation with offices throughout Australia. Due to growth, they are seeking a Integration Support Specialist to join the team in their Richmond or Geelong office.

Key duties and responsibilities
- Maintain and configure MuleSoft and IBM API Connect API’s and applications.
- Undertake testing of APIs and the environments as required.
- Monitor and report on end-to-end API health, performance, and statistics.
- Troubleshoot MuleSoft and IBM API Connect issues and work with external vendors to resolve them.
- Work closely with level three technical and development teams to investigate and resolve complex incidents.
- Become familiar with the authentication system to help Partners with authentication problems.
- Use strong verbal and written communication skills to deal with technical and business staff up to management level.
- Collate, analyse, and produce customised reports and dashboards as required in consultation with IT and business teams.
- Raise support tickets and liaise with external vendors.
- Develop and maintain documentation on support processes, policies, and configuration.
- Manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Apply best practice ITIL methodology for incident management and service requests.
- May be working as part of a team (e.g., Business Analyst, Test Analyst, MuleSoft Developers), actively participating in prioritising and tracking system improvements via monthly sprints.
- Attend daily stand ups to review and discuss system improvements with developers and other third- party vendors.
- Produce deliverables in accordance with project schedules.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, and liaise with business areas and teams to recommend enhancements.
- Maintain documentation, processes and decisions to support knowledge transfer and future enhancements including the team’s.
About you?
- More than 5 years’ experience working with API’s and/or Integration.
- Proven experience working in high-pressured environments.
- Repeated experience in Scrum/Agile methodologies
- ‘Quality focused’ approach to develop, improve, and implement streamlined processes.
- Ability to work in DevOps environment and configure and support CI/CD functions.
- Strong understanding of API and integration technologies, with the ability to quickly grasp new products and adapt to complex mission critical environments.
- Demonstrable experience in administration and configuration of MuleSoft or IBM API Connect
- Exposure to CRM systems is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
