AO5 Project Engagement Officer
- Hourly rate contract, starting ASAP until January 2028
- Paying up to $75.00 + superannuation per hour, pending successful candidates experience level

Talent International are partnering with a State Government Department dedicated to overseeing infrastructure, services, and policies to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility. It manages road networks, public transport systems, and maritime operations, facilitating the movement of people and goods.
Your new role:
A skilled and experienced Project Engagement Officer is required to provide additional support to the Northern District Customer and Stakeholder Engagement team. The volume of work due to heightened activity across the district program including Angus Smith Drive upgrade, Abbott Street Connection Road and Oonooba Road safety improvements, Bruce Highway Tranche 1-7 including Gairloch Floodway and Halifax intersection projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with stakeholders.
- Maintain consistency and quality across all project messaging.
- Reduce pressure on the existing team, enabling them to focus on strategic priorities.

- Clear and persuasive communication skills – Strong written and verbal skills to deliver accurate, engaging and consistent project messaging.
- Public-facing confidence – Comfortable representing projects at briefings, community sessions and responding to stakeholder enquiries.
- Project coordination skills – Strong organisation and time management to juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Political and environmental awareness – Understanding of government environments, approvals processes and sensitivities around infrastructure projects.
- Problem-solving and adaptability – Able to manage issues, community concerns and changing priorities calmly and professionally.
- Attention to detail and quality focus – Ensures all materials are accurate, consistent and aligned with branding and governance requirements.
