The opportunity

A leading infrastructure organisation is seeking a Network Analytics Service Lead to take end-to-end ownership of its critical analytics platforms and services.

Leading a team of eight, you will oversee service performance, platform lifecycle planning, technology delivery, vendor management and continuous improvement. This is a broad leadership role suited to someone who can balance operational reliability, risk, cost and stakeholder expectations.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading and developing a team of eight technology professionals
  • Ensuring critical platforms remain available, reliable, secure and fit for purpose
  • Overseeing incident, problem, change, release and capacity management
  • Developing platform roadmaps covering upgrades, scalability and obsolescence
  • Delivering system enhancements and operational improvements
  • Managing budgets, suppliers and commercial performance
  • Building strong relationships across technology, architecture, operations and delivery
  • Driving automation, service improvement and stronger operational processes

What you’ll bring

  • Experience leading business-critical technology services in a complex environment
  • Strong people leadership, mentoring and team development capability
  • A solid understanding of IT service management practices
  • Experience managing vendors and working within a multi-sourced environment
  • Strong commercial judgement and budget management experience
  • The ability to lead change while maintaining service continuity
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience within energy, utilities or another operationally critical sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Technology environment

Exposure to some of the following would be advantageous:

  • Linux or Unix
  • Kubernetes
  • Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
  • Oracle GoldenGate
  • High-availability analytics platforms
  • Real-time or near-real-time technology environments

Tertiary qualifications in technology, engineering or a related discipline are preferred. ITIL experience or certification would also be advantageous.
