Our client, one of the leading universities in New South Wales, is seeking an experienced Technology Manager to lead the delivery, operations, and governance of a rapidly expanding AI ecosystem across a large and complex enterprise environment.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for AI platforms, GenAI operations, technology delivery, and service performance. You’ll lead a team of AI specialists and delivery partners while helping define how AI is governed, adopted, and scaled across the organisation.
What you’ll be accountable for
* Own the AI platform strategy, operations, and roadmap across Microsoft and AWS environments
* Lead AI technology delivery teams to build secure, scalable, and reliable AI solutions
* Drive GenAIOps and LLMOps capabilities, including observability, evaluation, monitoring, and lifecycle management
* Establish operational excellence through SLAs, SLOs, incident management, and service performance reporting
* Provide trusted advice to senior leaders on AI investment, architecture, risk, and adoption opportunities
* Partner with Product and Architecture leaders to prioritise and deliver enterprise AI initiatives
* Embed Responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance standards across AI services
* Develop organisational AI capability through leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience leading AI, ML, data, or emerging technology teams within a large, complex organisation
* Experience working within higher education is highly regarded, with candidates from government or other large enterprise environments also encouraged to apply
* Strong knowledge of Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Copilot, Power Platform, AWS Bedrock, API Management, and related cloud technologies
* Experience managing enterprise platforms with accountability for availability, performance, risk, and service delivery
* Demonstrated success translating strategic objectives into technology roadmaps and measurable business outcomes
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives and business leaders
* Experience taking AI initiatives from proof of concept through to enterprise scale
