Advisory Officer

Talent International is currently recruiting Advisory Officer to work for the NSW Government, based in Parramatta. This is a 3 month contract, with the possibility of extension, paying $42 per hour + Super.

7 hours per day/ 35 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

This position will be Monday to Friday in the office

The Role

Working within the Benefits and Personal Insurance team, you will help identify customers who may be eligible for pension entitlements, concessions and Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance claims.

This role is important in ensuring vulnerable customers receive their correct financial entitlements. You will review customer information, assess potential eligibility and prepare suitable matters for referral and approval.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer records to identify potential eligibility for TPD insurance claims.
• Assess relevant information against insurance eligibility criteria.
• Support the review of pension income and customer entitlements.
• Conduct research and analysis to support claim assessments and project outcomes.
• Prepare claim documentation for review and approval.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor assigned tasks and deliverables.
• Provide updates and advice to relevant internal stakeholders.
• Assist with project reports, status updates and other supporting documentation.
• Support initiatives designed to improve customer service delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A paralegal, legal administration or insurance claims background.
• Experience reviewing claims, legal documents, policies or customer records.
• Strong research, analysis and assessment skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping abilities.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• The ability to handle sensitive and confidential customer information.
• A compassionate and professional approach when supporting vulnerable customers.
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
