Talent International is currently recruiting for an Administration Officer to work for the Local Government, based in Seven Hills. This position is a contract role for 3 months with a view to be extended, and the role pays $39.13 per hour + Super.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule recruitment interviews.
  • Process employee appointments, resignations and recruitment-related documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to the Kids’ Early Learning management team.
  • Manage the diary of the Kids’ Early Learning Manager.
  • Organise meetings and prepare agendas, documentation and minutes.
  • Create and distribute surveys.
  • Coordinate staff professional development and training bookings.
  • Assist with departmental events, conferences and training, including ticketing requirements.
  • Monitor event and training budgets.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for departmental projects.
  • Establish and maintain programs for childcare service trainees.
  • Respond to telephone and general enquiries and accurately record messages.
  • Prepare, format and edit correspondence, reports and other documents.
  • Maintain accurate staff records, files and records-management systems.
  • Undertake research and compile information as requested.
  • Maintain effective communication with Council departments, Early Learning staff, key stakeholders and the community.
  • Coordinate volunteers where required.
  • Perform other administrative duties consistent with Council operations.

Essential Requirements

  • Current valid Working with Children Check.
  • Previous experience within the childcare or early childhood education sector.
  • Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated records-management experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Highly developed organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise competing workloads, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • At least four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of Local Government procedures relating to early childhood education and care.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Current Class C driver’s licence.
