The Role

Are you an experienced Actuary looking to make a meaningful impact? This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team and contribute to a significant national initiative. In this role, you will provide leadership, technical expertise, and strategic insights to support the delivery of critical outcomes.

Your duties will include:

  • Extracting, cleansing, and preparing data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and reasonableness
  • Developing and updating regular performance monitoring frameworks
  • Supporting statutory reporting requirements, including data provision for Board and Ministerial reporting
  • Designing and utilising actuarial, statistical, and mathematical models to address business challenges
  • Undertaking ad hoc modelling requests and producing detailed reports
  • Communicating progress and outcomes effectively, both verbally and in writing

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, or Statistics, with progress towards Associate or Fellowship qualifications
  • Completion of Actuarial Education Parts I and II, with progress in Part III
  • 2-7 years of relevant experience in actuarial or data analysis roles
  • Strong technical skills in statistical and mathematical modelling
  • Proven ability to interpret legislation and policy to achieve organisational outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
