About the Department:

Talent International are partnering with a State Government Department dedicated to overseeing infrastructure, services, and policies to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility. It manages road networks, public transport systems, and maritime operations, facilitating the movement of people and goods.

About the role:

This role will provide high level administration and secretarial support under the Engineering & Technology branch within the Infrastructure Management and Delivery Division accountable for the road operations lifecycle. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high level administrative support to project managers and team members, including coordinating team meetings, taking and distributing minutes, preparing documents and reports, establishing and maintaining spreadsheets and registers and providing timely information, updates and presentations as required.
  • Project support for financial approval documentation, contract administration systems and procurement related activities.
  • Ensure infrastructure project documentation is accurately compiled, tracked and recorded, and follows up to ensure timely delivery and approvals within set timeframes.
  • Provide administrative support to various Project Managers to ensure tasks are completed within specified deadlines.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Experience working in a similar Business Support, Project Support, Administration Support role within State Government environments, highly desirable.
  • Exceptional time management and workload prioritisation skills ensuring key administrative deadlines are being met.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo employment screening (for example a criminal history check) as part of the selection process.
  • High level of competency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A basic knowledge and understanding of procurement, with experience in procurement / finance in an infrastructure environment being desirable.
  • Ability to maintain effective communication and relationships between key internal and external stakeholders and contacts.
