About the role:
Our large federal government client requires a Procurement Specialist to provide procurement services in the areas of ICT labour hire, hardware and software. The ideal candidate will have the ability to coordinate and undertake end-to-end procurement activities including developing planning, RFQ and evaluation documentation, conducting evaluations and engaging with stakeholders.
As an experienced Procurement Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
The role has a significant emphasis on providing a timely and responsive procurement service, with individual procurement activities prioritised by a team leader. A number of simultaneous procurements will be expected to be managed at any one time. The Procurement Specialist will liaise directly with technical and non-technical staff and work to complete purchases in accordance with established procurement guidelines.
Skills and experience required:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience developing procurement documents in consultation with stakeholders (e.g. business areas or projects).
- Demonstrated experience using Commonwealth panel arrangements (and/or open/limited tender and in consideration of Indigenous Procurement Policy where appropriate) for labour hire, general services, ICT hardware and ICT software products.
- Demonstrated understanding of good probity practices and the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, including the Resource Management Framework and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Ability to use MS Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams and familiarity with the use of Electronic Document Records Management (EDRM) Systems.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including ICT professionals and vendors.
Desirable:
- Certificate IV or Diploma qualification in Procurement and Contract Management.
