Last week Talent’s APAC team held our annual conference in stunning Uluru in Central Australia to celebrate Talent’s 20th Anniversary.

Arriving on Thursday, the team embraced the 37 degree heat and came together in groups to write and choreograph a parody to perform at the dinner. Classic Australian songs were transformed into tales about Talent’s history which ensured hilarity due to our general lack of singing ability.

Over dinner , the team celebrated with the annual awards ceremony to honour our staff’s many achievements and contributions to the business over the past year.

Friday morning saw an early start with everybody rising at 4am to head into the Kata Tjuta National Park to see the sun rise over the magnificent Uluru . From here we ventured out on a guided tour of the area, learning about the traditional culture and stories of the Anangu – the traditional Aboriginal owners of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Seeing this amazing part of the world was extremely eye opening for many of our staff, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to immerse ourselves in this ancient culture.

The morning was spent conferencing, which included reflecting on Talent’s journey over the past 20 Years and hearing from Talent Founder and Managing Director Richard Earl and Group CEO Mark Neilsen about the exciting future expansion plans for the business. Each APAC branch led a session for the group which encapsulated the journey of their branch to date.

It was a great opportunity for staff new and old to learn about the company, why it started, where its been and reinforced our corporate values of Teamwork, Passion, Integrity and Continuous Improvement.

Our Perth team also staged the world’s biggest Richard Earl selfie. (Image below)CSCGJ42UcAADYW6

Later that afternoon conference delegates were treated to different activities, one group riding camels, another learning how to gather local bush tucker, and another lucky group winning a helicopter tour above Uluru.

Our last night in Uluru was utterly spectacular, seeing the sun set over Uluru and enjoying the Sounds of Silence with an incredible dinner inspired by food from the local area. Spending the last night together in stunning surroundings was the perfect way to end an unforgettable few days.

Thank you to all the staff that attended and planned this amazing event!
