The Role:

This Government Department is seeking a Security Architect to support the development of the security architecture and framework for Microsoft projects.

The Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of architecture and portfolio capability, future strategies and security roadmaps, including articulating options, and facilitate adoption of security roadmaps to executive stakeholders.
  • Work with the Security, IT services, and departmental teams to assess, design and document appropriate security controls for a variety of significant ICT/digital applications.
  • Lead the development of security policies and standards to support the Security team and broader department.
  • Develop key artefacts including high level architecture designs, system security plans, control inventories, assurance models and management plans.
  • Collaboratively define best practice security governance policy and process frameworks for ICT/digital projects.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 7 years experience delivering medium to large scale projects as a Security Architect.
  • Proven ability to design the security architecture, security frameworks and check the security requirements.
  • Prior experience working on a Microsoft infrastructure project would be desirable.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills are essential to detail the appropriate security specifications.
  • Prior Public Sector experience is essential.
