Founder & Executive Managing Director Richard Earl is currently traveling around the US exploring the tech and recruitment scene. Beginning his 3 city journey of the US, he started south in Austin Texas.

He began his trip by visiting the Capitol Factory, which is Austin’s largest tech start up hub. The hub has been gathering lots of media lately since President Obama recently had a tour of the building. Going on that same tour Richard came out inspired by the positive energy and messages written everywhere, a quote on a wall “Always work hard on something uncomfortably exciting” stood out to him and shows the passion and enthusiasm of those working in this space.

Following on from his visit to Capitol Factory, Richard participated in the Bagwalkers Campaign run by 2013 Unleashed Awards Winner Duncan Ward. Duncan’s charity Classroom of Hope runs a campaign called BagWalkers. BagWalkers is raising funds to build a school for young kids in Rwanda who spend 5hrs a day walking to and from school. The campaign took place out the front of the Capitol Building in Austin. Richard is aiming to raise $400 for this amazing cause. Donations can be made here:

After the walk, Richard spent some time catching up with Loren Guerra a well known Austin recruitment personality. Loren is helping him and Talent to explore opportunities within the Austin Area. We hear he loves a good cigar!

After his time in Austin, Richard will be travelling to Seattle and San Francisco, stay tuned for more posts.
