Programs Officer
Talent International is currently recruiting for a Programs Officer to work for an NSW Government client based in Orange. The position is a 3-month contract role with the possibility of being extended and are paying $56.07 per hour + Super.
7 hours a day / 35 hours a week
Key accountabilities
- Support the local administration and delivery of client’s maintenance contract, primarily through the preparation of office estimates and contributing to the development of the Quarterly Program of Works.
- Develop, implement and manage a planned program of maintenance by analysing Property Assessment Survey (PAS) data, utilising local knowledge to support the organisation’s housing portfolio property maintenance program on allocated properties.
- Provide both proactive and effective contract administration through the development of office estimates including attend on site (as required) and supporting negotiations with contractors in relation to quotations.
- Ensure that works are appropriately delivered, and that strategies and action plans are put in place to rectify work issues where applicable.
- Develop scopes of work for exceptional internal activities and statutory and regulatory items such as disability modifications, in collaboration with relevant professionals such as Occupational Therapists as required; and
- Ensure compliance with the Australian Building Codes, client’s standards, policies and Contract requirements when issuing work to contractors.
Note:
- Staff are required to work a minimum of 5 days per fortnight in the office and balance from home.
- Alternatively fulltime in the office is also available.
- Staff are required to go out onsite to perform inspections of tenanted properties, please ensure they are aware this is a requirement.
Required Skills:
- Good computer skills required Microsoft office word, excel and outlook.
- Training will be provided for other systems used daily to process maintenance orders.
- Previous experience in the building industry, customer service recommended.
- Good communications skills when dealing with multiple stakeholders i.e. tenants, contractors, councils etc.
