I honestly can’t believe I have been here for five months already. Time flies when you’re having fun!

In that time, I have had a really thorough induction, travelled to all of our offices, had interviews and boardroom meetings galore, and got involved in the graduate programme. Most recently, I flew to San Francisco for three days of networking, innovation, reflection and collaboration with all the General Managers from APAC, the UK, Europe and North America. This was an amazing experience, and it’s been a great and fast-paced start to my career with Talent.

In San Francisco, we spoke about our commitment to innovation and thinking differently to how we approach things at Talent. Over the course of three days, we talked about our purpose and our vision, and how our business will look by 2021. We also looked at our brand from within and how we connect emotionally with its audience. We are launching with a new brand refresh in the coming weeks, so watch this space! Lastly, we split off into groups and brainstormed ideas about innovation and tech, with some very exciting ideas coming from it. I even managed to fit in a game of baseball at AT&T park, an open bus tour of San Fran, a graffiti workshop and lots of great food and drink!I joined Talent because they’re more than just a run of the mill recruitment company. We have programs like Talent Engage, our foundation Talent RISE, which is helping youth at risk get into the tech sector, and the Unleashed Awards. We’re also part of the 100% Human at Work movement. As soon as I walked into the office, I knew this was a place where I could be part of Talent’s journey as we change the way recruitment is done. This is no ordinary recruitment company!

Talent is one of the largest and most exciting digital and technology recruitment companies in the world. We are currently hiring across the UK, but in London we have especially big growth plans. Richard Earl is an inspiring leader and his vision, along with Jon Butterfield’s, is that Talent London is to be the flagship store of the UK. On joining, I inherited a team of eight people and we are now at 12 heads. The plan is grow the team to 20 heads within the next four months to achieve and realise our goals. Talent, the team and myself are ambitious, diverse and forward thinking.

We are continually investing 50% of our profits back into innovation and new initiatives. We had a successful launch of Talent Engage that has transformed the customer experience for over 5000 contractors.

We pay great commission, a clear progression pathway as 25% of our entire UK workforce received promotions last year, fantastic incentives, an onsite gym and swimming pool, 17% year-on-year growth over the last eight years with 16 offices worldwide and £300m revenue generated last year. What are you waiting for? Come and find out for yourself and join us on this exciting journey!
