Most people throughout their careers will deal with a recruiter to find a job at some point. Finding a new role can be a stressful process for anybody regardless of how many interviews they’ve previously had. Our recruiters work to get to know their candidates and place them in the best role.  In this role reversal we get to know our Recruiters in Auckland both at work, and in their personal lives.

What makes you want to come to work at Talent every day?

Talent  Auckland is still relatively young in comparison to our other branches so we have the opportunity to mature as a team while stamping our mark on the Auckland IT industry. Every day we come in to the office we are improving on the last and that is something I enjoy being part of.

What is your fondest moment at Talent International?

Last year’s Talent International APAC conference in Fiji is quite hard to beat.

What have you learnt in your time in your role as a Recruitment Consultant?

The more you put in, the more you get out.

What is your biggest accomplishment at Talent?

So far, I would say transitioning from a Candidate Manager role in to a client facing Consultant role

What did you think you’d be doing in high school compared to what you actually do now?

Growing up in England, the dream job was to be a footballer.

What’s an interesting hobby or skill you have?

I am currently training for IT Heavy Hitters, which is a corporate boxing event with proceeds going to The Key to Life Charitable Trust. Talent is one of the sponsors of the event so boxing fever has taken over the office!

Who’s been your biggest influence in life?

Don’t tell her I said this but probably my fiancé.

Something nobody at work would know about you?

Nothing – my manager Kara knows everything about everybody!
