Senior Operational Support Engineer (Windows) // Entertainment Industry

  • Senior Operational Support Engineer position working with a Leading Consulting Business, on site with a dedicated client of theirs in the Entertainment Industry
  • Initial 3-month contract with the view to extend
  • Sydney CBD location with working from home flexibility 2-3 days a week
  • Offering a day rate of up to $700 per day

Our client, a leading Global Consultancy, is urgently seeking a Operational Support Engineer (Windows) to work on site with a client of theirs, a leading Entertainment organisation. This will be an initial 3-month contract with the view to extend and they are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. The client is located in Sydney CBD and they offer working from home flexibility 2-3 days per week. The rate on offer is $700 per day.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for the day to day management of the operating environment, all systems and platforms
  • Play a key role in infrastructure delivery by way of installing and configuring hardware and software, deploying solutions into all environments, providing incident management and monitoring to ensure optimum performance, capacity, and availability
  • Represent and champion the needs of the Enterprise Systems group at all times, both daily, within workshops and when assigned to a project
  • Provide assistance as needed during incident or event management period


  • Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2 and 2016, 2019, 2022
  • Experience maintaining and supporting complex, business critical 24×7 services
  • Knowledge of Technology operations best practice, including patching, maintenance, standard operating environments and security
  • Microsoft Exchange 2016 or Office 365
  • Microsoft SCCM/SCOM 2012 or above
  • Active Directory (Multi-Domain Environments)
  • VMware 7
  • Nutanix HCI
  • Automation and scripting preferred eg. Advanced Powershell, Chef, Ruby
  • Exposure to Linux OS varients
  • Exposure to Storage Hyper Converge Technologies
  • Exposure to Cloud technologies and practices
  • Infoblox Experience
  • ADFS

In order to be successful in this position you will have:

  • 5-10 Years proven IT experience managing, designing and implementing enterprise server environments.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and solving technical issues
  • Experience in a DEVOPS environment, continuous improvement and streamlining processes via automation
  • Experienced in working in a highly complex environment across multiple datacenters
  • Experience in mentoring staff and collaborating with them
