Our client is searching for an experienced consultant to work with one of their key defence clients as a Support Officer on a critical program. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a Modernisation project, contributing to the cyber-hardened, integrated, and sustainable mission systems.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing their system. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supporting on-premises messaging infrastructure in a multi-forest distributed environment.
- Integrating complex ICT infrastructure software and applications with messaging systems.
- Proactively maintaining, patching, and upgrading distributed enterprise systems.
- Analyzing, logging, tracking, and resolving complex issues related to messaging.
- Creating and peer-reviewing Standard Operating Procedure documentation (SOPs) and build guides.
- Supporting user management for ITS admins/Business App admins and standard users on Core systems.
- Occasional offsite work required
- Building Laptops for deployment.
- Managing certificate renewals, patching, and change management.
- Collaborating with vendors to resolve issues on systems
- Managing incident priorities to ensure SLAs are met.
- Self-training and upskilling in applications to deliver high-quality support.
- Updating and creating knowledge articles for level 1 troubleshooting staff.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Highly developed knowledge of Exchange and AD administration.
- Experience with Message Transfer Agents and Microsoft Skype administration.
- Ability to carry a phone and participate in an on-call roster.
- Familiarity with XMPP chat tools.
- Expertise with Lotus Domino products.
- Experience with VoIP trunking.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with Nutanix, Fortinet, Cisco networking, and various software solutions.
- Previous experience with Minerva is a plus.
- Knowledge of ADF CIS reporting processes and procedures.
- Experience with ITAR compliance.
Key details:
- Monday to Friday business hours (40-hour week)
- On site 5 days per week due to high security
Security Clearance:
- Have or ability to obtain at least a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance before commencing work.
