About the role:

As the Procurement & Sourcing Specialist you will be responsible in providing full, life cycle procurement support of business-driven projects for Fortune 500 companies.

  • Help customers address critical business initiatives and projects with strong project management and procurement support.
  • Responsible for supporting stakeholders in defining requirements and sourcing strategies.
  • Analyse current spend in details, supplier base, supply pattern and define a granular baseline that will allow accurate savings calculation.
  • Be responsible for the whole project execution and meet the time lines, quality and deliverables expected, leverage Accenture Source-to-Contract platform to closely manage the sourcing project.
  • Analyse proposal (commercial), liaise with end user(s) to obtain technical and risk evaluations, perform bid analysis and savings identification, coordinate award decision with stakeholder(s), create and submit business case for award approval
  • Draft contract, support implementation tasks when required.
  • Create necessary business cases or approval documents to seek endorsement and approval from clients.
  • Manage purchasing contracts post-execution (commercial elements of the contract only)

What you’ll need to succeed?:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Extensive experience in a similar role in either the mining, oil, gas or construction sector.
  • Strong project management and relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple end-to-end project cycles
  • Good communication, including some level of technical terminology/ vocabulary specific to the categories to source/procure
  • Excellent organisation/time management and process compliance
  • Analytical skills, proficiency with Excel
  • Contract drafting experience
  • Strong knowldge and application of procurement operations
  • Experience in Procurement/ sourcing of construction, engineering, CAPEX, maintenance services, technical/ industrial services spend categories
  • Ability to travel within Australia (frequency approximately 1 trip every six weeks)
