Solution Architect (Databricks)

Our client is seeking a Solution Architect to define the detailed solution design and data architecture for the Retail Data Platform which will be built as a Databricks Lakehouse, hosted on AWS. The Solution Architect will work with, and provide technical oversight to the Data stream team and vendors in the delivery of the platform and the provisioning of business-led use cases for source data and analytical capability.

The objectives of the role are:
* Prepare detailed solution designs that meets the current and future operational and analytical requirements of the business.
* Work with the client’s digital platform teams to design data ingestion patterns that meet the needs of the Retail Data Platform and are in alignment in enterprise strategies.
* Incorporate into all designs, strong data and access security controls across cloud-based reporting environments, commensurate with PII data in a public cloud.
* Design highly performant, secure, and cost effective cloud-based data solutions with incorporated monitoring to assist in the management of the solution.

The role requires someone with extensive experience in working with and designing solutions in Databricks with integrated data management and data governance capability.
