• Contract Length: 12 Months + 2 × 12-Month Extensions (Subject to Departmental Discretion)

Our client is currently engaged in delivering a large-scale federal program and are actively seeking multiple ‘Senior Solution Architects’ to lead end-to-end technology design across Network, Cloud/Application, Infrastructure and Data domains. This role sits within a high-performance architecture governance environment, delivering complex, secure, enterprise-grade solutions that align with departmental strategy, reference architectures, and ARB/DA oversight.

You will be responsible for shaping conceptual and detailed architectures, producing high-quality design artefacts, and guiding delivery teams to realise scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions across a diverse technology landscape.

Key responsibilities of the position:

• Design and deliver scalable, secure, efficient, and cost-effective technology solutions that meet business and infrastructure requirements.

• Conduct technology evaluations and select appropriate platforms, tooling and patterns aligned to business and technical needs.

• Define interfaces, integration points and data flows across multi-system and third-party environments.

• Produce high-level and detailed architectural artefacts including conceptual architectures, HLDs, DDDs, reference architectures, capability models, roadmaps, and technical specifications.

• Develop and maintain domain-level reference architectures, including current-to-target state views and landscape models.

• Support delivery teams during solution implementation, resolving technical challenges and ensuring fidelity to approved designs.

• Provide architectural assurance and contribute feedback to uplift architectural standards, patterns, and non-functional requirements.

• Actively participate in Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Design Authority (DA) forums and promote broader team engagement.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 5 years of ICT industry experience.

• Minimum 2 years producing solution architecture or system design documentation in enterprise environments.

• Experience delivering solutions within secure government environments alongside strong background working in large, complex ICT landscapes.

Desirable skills & expertise:

• Architecture experience within complex global ICT environments.

• Practical experience applying ISM and Essential Eight controls into architectural design.

• Strong cloud architecture capability across contemporary integration and connectivity patterns.

• Experience spanning on-prem, private cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments with secure, scalable integration considerations.
