Talent is partnering with a highly reputable Defence consultancy to source a permanent Software Engineer with NV1 Clearance.
About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with NV1 Clearance to work on RAAF based communications projects. This role is open to anyone with access to a Defence base and ability to travel to Williamtown occasionally as needed. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting Verification & Validation of software and hardware to enable continual upgrade to core mission systems
- Developing User Requirements for ICT capability gaps and opportunities
- Conducting PT&E of incoming or trial ICT capabilities to ensure interoperability with integral core mission systems
- Support the delivery of ICT training and governance
Requirements
- 3+ years hands on software engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering
- NV1 clearance or above is essential in order to be considered
- Defence experience is essential – Particularly experience supporting 4SQN
- Agile software development experience
- Experience using REST interfaces
- Experience with code branching
- Highly developed understanding of risk in the context of software development
- Exposure to CI engines

Terms
- Permanent position starting ASAP (can wait for the right person to give notice)
- Can be remote from anywhere in Australia as long as you can easily access a local Defence base
- Must be able to travel to Williamtown occasionally on an as needed basis
- Must hold active NV1 clearance at a minimum to be considered
- Paying up to $130K package inclusive of super (commensurate with skills and experience)
