Senior Project Manager

Working for this large government body as a Senior Project Manager will be utilise the project management framework to effectively manage, execute and report on the project/s. There will be a focus on schedule, budget, risk and issues management, documentation and reporting, quality control and managing project dependencies.

To be successful you will have extensive experience in Salesforce Transformation and Data Transformation including migration background or someone who has extensive experience in Tech Transformation Delivery.

Key activities

Take full responsibility for the definition, clarity to teams, documentation, and delivery of the agreed objectives and outcomes of one or more large complex project/s
Resource management including internal service providers and external vendors and any other stakeholders required for successful delivery
Management of key internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of the project
Prepare robust project status reports and facilitate timely informed decision making on key project issues by team members, project committees and other stakeholders, appropriately identifying and escalating project risks and issues to senior management
Identify, assess, record and manage/mitigate the risks to the success of the project including dependencies across projects, political, business impact, market impact, and technical complexity
Ensure that realistic project, budget, schedule, risk/issue, quality, change, communications and training plans are prepared and maintained while providing regular and accurate updates to the steering committee/s and other stakeholders as required
Provide effective leadership to the project team and take appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances
Utilise the Project Management Framework to deliver projects
Responsible for preparation of reporting/presentation at key Governance and Status forums

Skills and experience

Substantial career evidence of project management and delivery including proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and conflicting priorities within large and complex organisations
Proven project leadership capability managing resources across BAs, Agile, technology, and data teams
Strong technology delivery background in agile environment and good understanding of solution architecture for tech and data/ability to interact with tech/data architects to manage the needs of program
Proven experience of managing external vendors including RFQs/RFIs/RFPs
Previous experience in delivery of Salesforce and Data projects preferred
Background of working in large transformation program through design and development phases
Proven experience in successful budget responsibility for projects over $1 million
