Senior Incident Manager
Talent International is currently recruiting for a Senior Incident Manager to work for one of our Federal Government clients based in NSW (Multiple Office Locations). The position is a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The role pays $600 to $800 per day + Super.
8 hours per day and 40 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to lead Incident Management activities across a complex enterprise environment, ensuring critical ICT incidents are managed effectively from detection through to resolution while helping establish broader IT Service Management (ITSM) practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of ICT incidents, including Major Incidents requiring urgent escalation and resolution.
- Coordinate technical teams and stakeholders during incident response activities.
- Identify root causes, conduct post-incident reviews, and implement preventative measures.
- Establish and maintain Incident Management frameworks, plans, and operational processes.
- Maintain accurate incident records, reporting, and documentation.
- Provide regular status updates and communications to senior stakeholders.
- Manage incidents across multiple enterprise platforms including CRM, data analytics, integration, cyber security, ITSM, and cloud environments.
- Support the development of broader ITSM processes including Change Management, CAB governance, and Problem Management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to improve service stability and operational readiness.
Essential Experience
- 5-8+ years’ experience establishing and managing Incident Management processes within enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience working in greenfield or transformational technology environments.
- Strong enterprise-level experience managing incidents across integrated platforms such as CRM, data, integration, and cloud-based systems.
- Extensive knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Service Manager, or similar platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills.
Desirable Experience
- Agile certifications and/or practical Agile delivery experience.
- Previous experience working within Federal or State Government environments.
- Experience supporting major transformation or regulatory programs.
Mandatory Requirement
- Current Baseline Security Clearance is required.
- NV1 Security Clearance may be required for this role.
