Talent is searching for a Senior Digital Developer (Sitecore Developer) to join a large financial institution based here in Brisbane. This is an initial 6-month contract that is highly likely to extend long term.

Role Purpose:
The role of Senior Digital Developer is responsible for the development and support of our client’s Digital assets, including their main Sitecore solutions. This role is part of the Digital Applications Team.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for the deployment and support of digital technology, including Sitecore CMS and Sitecore solutions in line with Australian Retirement Trust’s strategy
Adherence to agreed digital development and support standards
Investigate problems in systems, processes and services. Assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
Maintain application support processes, and check that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures
Use application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports
Assess, analys, develop, document and implement changes based on requests for change
Prioritise and diagnose incidents according to agreed procedures
Configure software and equipment and tests platform-specific versions of one or more software products
Report the outcome of testing and identifies potential improvements to the process and to the software products according to agreed designs and standards
Investigate problems in systems, processes and services
Assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
Ensure all stages of development and deployment are supported with high quality documentation and are in line with all standards, policies and procedures
Design, code, test, correct and document complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications, and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well engineered result
Take part in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues’ work.
Identify, assess and escalate risks according to the internal Risk Management framework
Recommend/design structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and takes into account target environment, performance & security requirements and existing systems
Maintain knowledge of specific specialisms, provides detailed advice regarding their application and executes specialised tasks
The specialism can be any area of information or communication technology, technique, method, product or application area.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in C#, .NET, CSS, SQL, Javascript, and Web Services
Excellent problem solving, problem
management and analytical skills
Strong communication skills to
effectively communicate and negotiate in writing and verbally with business, technical and supplier personnel
Proven ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage activities to deliver IT services to meet business expectations
Ability to teach and impart knowledge coherently and effectively
Knowledge of Solution Delivery Lifecycle methodologies including Agile delivery methodologies
Previous experience with Release Coordination and quality assurance processes
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
Demonstrated experience operating within a digital environment supporting web content management systems
Strong, in-depth knowledge of Sitecore and development, and operational support experience using Sitecore
Sitecore certification highly desirable
Demonstrated experience with Atlassian JIRA and confluence
Demonstrated support experience with complex events processing and high throughput of transaction processing
Experience in the Financial Services
industry, particularly Superannuation
ITIL Foundation certificate
