The Client & Role:

We’re currently working with an Australian banking organisation who are undertaking a large-scale AML program and are looking to bring on 2 new Project Manager’s on 12-month initial term contracts. As the AML PM your primary objective is to ensure that everything is delivered and implemented in accordance with their AUSTRAC approved RAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a project of work to deliver actions in line with documented timelines and within agreed scope, time, cost and quality
  • Monitor and report to the Program Manager on status of financials, risks, issues and progress towards milestones and deliverables
  • Collaborate with the Group and AML program teams for status reporting
  • Work scheduling optimisation of usage (e.g., people resources)
  • Ensure meeting actions are tracked and resolved, maintain relevant team sites with Program Manager
  • Plan and coordinate the Steering Committee and Working Group to ensure business accountability for their delivery, lead the Working Group
  • Provide input to regular Program reporting
  • Coordinate Working Group governance meetings, including to prepare materials
  • Direct the identification, monitoring, reporting and escalation of risks and issues and/or problems associated with services and/or delivery in the Working Group, including challenging and influencing the Program Manager, and stakeholders as required to enable the achievement of project deliverables and benefits
  • Engage, inform, influence and negotiate with stakeholders who receive the changes and key business stakeholders (as required by the Program Manager) to ensure stakeholders remain engaged and committed throughout the project.
  • Drive completion of workshops and associated objectives.

Required Skills & Specialisms:

  • 5+ years major project experience.
  • Banking experience essential and risk experience advantageous.
  • Interaction at senior and executive management level of business.
  • An ability to think through complex problems and choices, recommend options and work with senior management on the ideal solution.
  • Appropriate experience in working with executive and senior management in a complex change environment at a large organisation.
